Two Unrated Good
I want to see a movie tonight at a movie theater????

Out of the two movies which movie would you recommend me seeing Step Brothers or X Files I want to believe? I mean which movie is the better out of the two?

I can either see one or the other because it’s getting late and my family is thinking about seeing Mama Mia. I already saw that movie and those two movies listed above I’m thinking of seeing.

So which movie would you recommend me seeing. I see all types and sorts of movies ranging from rated G to unrated movies. I have no problem seeing a rated R film since I’m 18 and I have a state ID.

Step Brothers Or X-Files? and why should I see it verses the other one?
I’m not wasting my money because I work at a movie theater and I get benefits.

Step brothers got a better rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

www.rottentomaotes.com

It’s a site where a bunch of reviewers from all over the country review the films – and then they give films an overall rating.

If you’re in the mood to laugh – go and see Step Brothers.

If you watched X-files on television – and really enjoyed it – you might go for that.

Personally – if I only had a choice of those two – I’d go and see Step Brothers.

Orgazmo Unrated Special Edition

Orgazmo Unrated Special Edition

$15.95

Rated: NRSynopsis: Trey Parker, creator of the TV series South Park, wrote, directed, and stars in this cheerfully vulgar comedy. Joe Young (Parker) is a devout Mormon living in L.A. trying to raise enough money to go back to Utah and marry his girlfriend, Lisa (Robyn Lynne Raab). Joe is spreading the word about the church of Latter Day Saints one day when he’s confronted by two burly bodyguards. A scuffle breaks out, and Joe’s martial arts skills impress Maxxx Orbison (Michael Dean Jacobs), who directs pornographic movies. Maxxx offers Joe 20,000 dollars to star in his latest skin flick as X-rated superhero Captain Orgazmo. While Joe is wary, he agrees under the condition that a body double is used during the sex scenes. Ben Chapleski (Dian Bachar), who plays the good captain’s sidekick, Choda-Boy, has invented a real-life version of Orgazmo’s secret weapon, a gun that stuns people with spasms of sexual ecstasy. When Joe and Ben learn that Maxxx is involved in organized crime, they leap into action to see that justice is served. Meanwhile, their film becomes a surprise crossover success, which means that Joe has a lot of explaining to do to Lisa. Trey Parker cast Orgazmo with a number of real-life adult film stars, including Ron Jeremy, Julie Ashton, and Chasey Lain. PRODUCTION AND TECHNICAL NOTES:Time: 2 Hours

Gia Unrated Edition

Gia Unrated Edition

$4.39

Rated: NRSynopsis: Not many made-for-TV movies celebrate the lives of doomed hellions, but what makes Gia a true rarity in the genre is Angelina Jolie’s jaw-dropping performance. Jolie’s turn as Gia Carangi — a supermodel of the late-’70s who died of an AIDS-related illness at age 26 — actually manages to match the film’s hype-happy tagline: “Too beautiful to die. Too wild to live.” The film, cowritten by director Michael Cristofer and novelist Jay McInerny, begins with Carangi as a child in Philadelphia, observing from the bedroom as her blue-collar parents go through the messy motions toward divorce. Within what seems like minutes, though, she’s a tempestuous teen running off to New York City, where she quickly gets the attention of model maven Wilhemina Cooper (Faye Dunaway) — and not just by plunging a switchblade into her receptionist’s desk. She’s got something different. Something special. And, since she’s played by Anelina Jolie, she’s got lips like sofa cushions. The model’s professional life is a cruel one, though; and while she scores about 16 on a sexual-attraction scale of ten, true love eludes her. Drugs find her, and with them, HIV. This is not a happy movie, but Jolie’s full-throttle approach to every scene — she seduces a boy in her dad’s luncheonette, then the makeup woman, and so on — makes for a totally absorbing two hours. The dazzling performance earned her a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy nomination, and it remains the wildest turn in Jolie’s increasingly distinctive filmography. Greg FaganNovelist Jay McInerney and playwright Michael Cristofer (who also made his feature film directorial debut) collaborated on the script for this bio of doomed supermodel Gia Carangi. In a star-making performance, Angelina Jolie stars as Gia, a gorgeous Philadelphia native who arrives in New York City to become a model and immediately makes an impression on high-powered agent Wilhelmina Cooper (Faye Dunaway). Gia’s fierce good looks make her a star, as does her willingness to pose nude. Gia becomes entangled in a passionate affair with a photographer’s assistant, Linda (Elizabeth Mithcell), but Linda is more conflicted about her bisexuality, driving Gia away and fueling the model’s craving for mood-altering drugs. Failed attempts at reconciliation with both Linda and her mother Kathleen (Mercedes Ruehl) drive Gia further over the edge from cocaine to heroin, her emaciated body and sunken eyes becoming the catalyst for the “heroin chic” look. Although Gia is eventually able to kick her powerful habit, she learns that an infected needle has resulted in her contracting the AIDS virus. For the second year in a row, a made-for-TV film resulted in an Emmy nomination and a Golden Globe victory for Jolie (the first was George Wallace, 1998). American Pie Widescreen Unrated Collector’s Edition

$10.87

Rated: UNRSynopsis: It’s said that most American men think about sex once every two or three minutes, but this statistic would seriously underestimate the horniness of Jim (Jason Biggs), a high school senior in suburban Michigan. Jim is thoroughly obsessed with sex, a fact of which his parents become aware when they discover him performing the sin of Onan with a gym sock while watching scrambled pay-per-view porn. Jim’s buddies Kevin (Thomas Ian Nicholas), Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas), and Oz (Chris Klein) are no less anxious to relieve themselves of their virginity, so they all make a pledge: they will go to bed with a woman in the three weeks before senior prom or die trying. Kevin appears to have the advantage, since he already has a girlfriend, Vicky (Tara Reid), but before he ventures into the Final Frontier, Kevin is urged to consult “The Bible,” a hand-written how-to manual possessing erotic wisdom passed down through the ages. Oz is a good-looking jock who is actually a nice guy — which is part of the problem, since he has his heart set on a nice girl, Heather (Mena Suvari), who does not seem the type to leap into bed within 21 days. Finch has no immediate prospects, though Jessica (Natasha Lyonne) is in a position to know if those rumors about him are true. And Jim is a truly hopeless case — after his attempted seduction of beautiful Czech exchange student Nadia (Shannon Elizabeth) turns out to be a disaster, he ends up going to the prom with Michelle (Alyson Hannigan), an annoyingly chatty band geek who does, however, have a fascinating story about a flute. American Pie was the directorial debut of Paul Weitz, who, along with his brother Chris Weitz (who served as producer), previously wrote several screenplays, including Antz and Madeline (where they presumably worked all their wholesome ideas out of their system). Dawn of the Dead Full Screen Unrated Director's Cut

Dawn of the Dead Full Screen Unrated Director’s Cut

$7.2

Rated: NRSynopsis: George Romero’s 1978 classic Dawn of the Dead is probably the greatest zombie movie of all time, as well as one of the best horror movies of the last 30 years. Set mainly in a suburban mall, it was as much a critique/satire on rampant consumerism as it was a chilling gore-fest. Though our country’s capitalistic nature has only escalated in the last 25 years, the satirical content has been slashed in Zack Snyder’s 2004 remake — but the zombies are more ferocious than ever. Unlike your parents’ undead, lumbering around aimlessly in search of brains, these zombies are fast, mean, and — relatively speaking — smart. Otherwise, this hi-tech update sticks pretty close to the source material. A visceral, violent pre-credit sequence brilliantly sets the stage: A strange plague infects much of the population overnight, causing the dead to rise and attack the living. Those not infected manage to hole up in a mall while the bloodthirsty corpses converge outside like shoppers on the day after Thanksgiving. Among the group of survivors are Sarah Polley, Ving Rhames, Mekhi Phifer, and Jake Weber. Who are they and what do they do? They fight zombies, of course — and therein lies the problem with this remake. The script is nearly as mindless as the zombies, heading down the predictable path of offing the leads one by one as they fight to escape. Snyder is a skilled visual stylist, however, and makes up for it with sheer thrills. Adrenaline levels run high the entire film, and the jolts come fast and furious with plenty of squeamish delights for gore fans. With a little more care and attention to story, Dawn of the Dead could have truly rivaled the original; instead we merely get a real good scare. Bill PearisThe feature-film debut of director Zack Snyder, Dawn of the Dead is a modern retelling of George Romero’s 1979 horror classic, which was actually the second film in a trilogy that began with Night of the Living Dead and concluded with Day of the Dead. Sarah Polley and Ving Rhames star as two of the last remaining people on an earth that has been ravaged by flesh-eating zombies. After escaping to a shopping mall with a handful of other survivors, they decide that they only way to truly elude the approaching throng of undead is to somehow make their way to an island that is supposedly zombie-free. Jake Weber and Mekhi Phifer also star. Mitch (Luke Wilson) returns home from a less-than-pleasant business trip one evening to discover his wife, Heidi (Juliette Lewis), involved in a ménage à trois with two blindfolded strangers. Feeling less than welcome at home after this, Mitch rents a house near the campus of a nearby college; two of Mitch’s old college buddies, Beanie (Vince Vaughn) and Frank (Will Ferrell), stop by to cheer him up. They soon become regular guests at Mitch’s place, despite the fact that Frank only recently wed Marissa (Perrey Reeves), while Beanie and his wife, Lara (Leah Remini), are busy with two kids. Beanie decides to throw a housewarming party for Mitch, and since Beanie sells audio equipment for a living, he’s able to trick out the big bash with a massive PA system and an appearance by Snoop Dogg. Mitch soon finds he’s the not-entirely-willing proprietor of the school’s leading party spot, which raises the ire of Pritchard (Jeremy Piven), a dean at the college who was the target of Mitch, Frank, and Beanie’s abuse when they were all students. Pritchard arranges to have Mitch’s neighborhood zoned into a student housing district, but Beanie and Frank respond by forming a fraternity and making Mitch’s home their headquarters. Mitch, however, is not enthusiastic about the idea, especially as he’s trying to impress Nicole (Ellen Pompeo), a beautiful divorcee who is less than enchanted with Frank and Beanie’s “party hearty” lifestyle. Rated: UNSynopsis: Having created an empire on girly shows and skin flicks, Jim Mitchell and Artie Mitchell achieved mainstream success with Behind the Green Door (1972), one of only a handful of hardcore porn movies to do so. Brothers Emilio Estevez and Charlie Sheen star in the film about the life and troubled times of porn’s dynamic duo. Opening with the 1991 fratricidal murder of Artie (Sheen) at the hands of Jim (Estevez, who also directs), the film flashes back to their father lecturing them on the importance of family. In 1967, while studying film at San Francisco State, Jim’s professor (Peter Bogdanovich) upbraids him for including numerous leering shots of half-naked women in his student works. Soon Jim along with his brother, fresh out of the Army, starts a smut studio in an old warehouse. Their business takes off, and in no time they are being harassed by the police for obscenity. Along the way, the two hire former Ivory Snow model Marilyn Chambers, get married, and snort half of the cocaine in Bolivia. After the fleeting success of Green Door, their lives spiral into a drug-addled hell. Jim eventually bottoms out, but Artie, wracked by a profound inferiority complex, slides into cocaine dementia and begins to threaten Jim’s family. Things eventually boil over, culminating in that bloody night in 1991. This film was screened at the 2000 Sundance Film Festival.

Swimming Pool Unrated Version

Swimming Pool Unrated Version

Rated: UNSynopsis: Filmmaker Francois Ozon, contemporary French cinema’s master of eroticism, outdoes himself with this sultry thriller, a Hitchcockian exercise bound up in guilt, panic, and deceit, and additionally laced with overt sexuality. It provides a great leading role for the charming Charlotte Rampling, here playing a celebrated English mystery writer offered the loan of a French villa by her publisher (Charles Dance). The tired, repressed author is annoyed when her privacy is shattered by the unexpected arrival of her host’s daughter (Ludivine Sagnier), a voluptuous little sexpot who brings men to the villa for sexual adventures and even seduces one of the older woman’s potential paramours. Up to this point the film is little more than tawdry melodrama, but Ozon takes a sharp left turn by having Rampling’s character commit an uncharacteristic act that she spends the rest of the movie attempting to conceal. The storytelling is unusually facile (for Ozon, anyway), although the pacing is a bit slow by Hollywood standards. Ultimately it’s Rampling’s audacious performance that distinguishes Swimming Pool, although she’s ably supported by the fetching Sagnier, a swift-rising starlet and favorite of the director. If you’re in the mood for a sophisticated, engrossing tale of suspense, look no further. François Ozon’s psychological thriller Swimming Pool stars Charlotte Rampling as a mystery writer. When Sarah (Rampling) is offered the use of her publisher’s vacation home, she accepts the offer. The conservative, repressed Sarah clashes with the house’s other inhabitant, Julie (Ludivine Sagnier), the uninhibited daughter of the publisher. Julie’s promiscuous sex life intrigues Sarah and starts to lead to the thawing of the emotional deep-freeze between the two. The death of one of Julie’s nightly assignations complicates their lives. Swimming Pool was screened in competition at the 2003 Cannes Film Festival. Rated: NRSynopsis: Nothing makes good-guy non-recidivist offender Cameron Poe happier than the thought of returning to society, where his angelic wife and the equally angelic little girl he’s never known are waiting. And nothing makes him angrier than the passel of psychopathic murderers and rapists aboard his prison transport plane–especially when, under the direction of ringleader Cyrus “The Virus” Grissom, they revolt and hijack their own plane. Fortunately, our hero’s been trained by the Army as an elite one-man-fighting-machine, and a dogged Justice Department agent waits on the ground to help him bring the fanatical fly-boys in for a bloody crash landing–in Vegas!

Rated: NRSynopsis: Will Ferrel (Old School, Elf) is Ron Burgundy, a top-rated 1970′s San Diego anchorman who believes women have a place in the newsroom – as long as they stick to covering fashion shows or late-breaking cooking stories. So when ron is told he’ll be working with a bright young newswoman (Christina Applegate) who’s beautiful, ambitious and smart enough to be more than eye candy, it’s not just a clash of two TV people with really great hair – it’s war! Filled with wicked wit and slapstick humor, Anchorman is the year’s most wildly irreverent, must-see comedy hit! (English)
