Which version of The Lord of The Rings Trilogy is more worth it, the Extended or Limited Edition? Plz help!?

I wasn’t aware there was a limited edition since it wasn’t available at any time where I live. However the information at Amazon.com says that there is hardly any difference between them. Obviously packaging is different but the content is pretty much the same. So unless you are a diehard fan who must own every single LOTR item ever created at all costs, the extended version is more than sufficient and is the better of the two.
