How to interview special/makeup effects artists?
im doing a graduation project on special/makeup effects in horror and other cinema. this project requires a minimum of 2 interviews/documented conversations with somebody related to the topic. i live in northeastern pennsylvannia and i do not have any realistic chance of being able to interview famous effects artists like tom savini, or rick baker. is there any professional effects artists that live in, or are appearing anywhere near my location? if so, how would i be able to contact them and get them to agree to do an interview?
Hmmmmmm… try finding film schools in your area or universities that have a film program, as some have courses about special/makeup effects. Teachers or students studying that, both may have resources for you to find professional make-up artists and so on.
