Wouldn’t it be wonderful for animals if zoo’s were abolished?
After all with TV, DVD’s etc one can learn everything about animals without taking them out of their natural setting.
Anyone heard KGO, last night giving all the sympathy to the poor tiger, that was just probably afraid. Shot to death.
Abolish zoo’s because this killing recently was just one of just too many at the zoo.
YES!!!
I personally dislike the practice of keeping majestic wild animals in captivity – especially healthy ones.
This is not to say that no wild animal should ever be kept captive. I think those that are injured beyond repair or rescued from abusive situations can be effective advocates for rescue/conservation organizations – in the right hands and with the right care.
But to keep a collection of wild animals for the public to simply gawk at seems cruel and unjustified. Wild animals belong in the wild, where they can enjoy their natural environment and do the things nature intended them to do!
