A very frightening dream of a massacre?
I had a dream that I was in this building where people were being forced to slide down a chute that dropped them into a room where a madman would dismember their bodies with a chainsaw. It was very similar to something that would happen in a movie rendition of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. At the end of the dream, I slid down the chute myself to experience my demise. This dream just really bothers me and any explanation would help me out a lot.
If you had this dream because you needed to wake up it may be what I call an Alarm Clock dream. The most nonsensical dreams that seem the most far from our personal real lives often do borrow from horror movies in order to “Alarm” us to wakefulness. Your brain knows you cannot be late for school, work, or wet the bed. So it will do what it must to force you awake. If you know any of the people in the dream or recognize any of its elements, then it is probably not an alarm clock dream as these tend to use “generic” types and sets. I hope this is helpful.
