can someone please give their ideas on the loopholes in Cloverfield?
i watch cloverfield yesterday and i realise there’s so many unanswered questions. apart from the most obvious…..where the hell did that thing come from? but what are the little monsters? when i first saw the film on dvd i thought the were mini versions of the cloverfield monster. i watched it on bluray and now i see that the mini ones look nothing like the big one so what the hell are they? and why did people explode when they were bitten?
according to various sources, in real life there are spider-type creatures that live underwater. Clover has been under the sea for many many years, so these creatures eventually latched onto it, and came with it as he woke up and appeared in new york. i think the people exploding is just from the writer’s imagination. plain and simple. these spiders cause people to have severe side effects when bitten

As Deirdre becomes more and more unstable she falls into the clutches of Dr Finch (Brian Cox), a psychiatrist, obsessed with bowel movements, both his own which he believes contain signs from God and those of his patients. Finch is the proud owner of a room he calls The Masturbatorium and his preferred method is to find wealthy female clients, dose them with flattery and Valium, and manipulate them into paying his bills. Before long, he has persuaded Deirdre to go through a daily therapy session, acquire a serious drug habit and allow him to raise her only son. Based on a book of the same name this is a fully dysfunctional story about a hugely dysfunctional group of people. Its kookiness is sometime difficult to get your head around but I think that is what sets it apart from other similar stories. This is good all rounder providing shocks as well as the occasional blast of humility. For those who have read the book it provides a watered down version of this fascinating life and still maintains its substantial brilliance. A must see for all those who want to feel better about their own families. |
