How much would Monster Hunter Tri be worth at Gamestop trade in?
I got the game about when it came out, started it got to the first mission thought I would like it I didn’t like it AT ALL it was a waste, the font style bothers me, and it just isn’t my game I rather trade it in for a game such as Super Mario Galaxy 2 but before I was wondering how much would the game be worth with the trade? I might also trade in My Sims Kingdom it was a joke, that my friend gave me.
Now I know Monster Hunter Tri isn’t for everyone… But it’s an extremely good game and I strongly urge you to give it a fair go before trading it in. It’s the type of game where there isn’t some magical power that kills everything straight away. It challenges you and pits you against hard monsters who take a while to kill or capture, depending on the quest/your style.
I know that it may look bad and sound stupid, but nothing can replace the pure feeling of success and happiness that you get when you finally fell a strong foe, after 20, 30, sometimes 40 minutes.
You feel like you’ve actually achieved something and that is a feeling that not many games give you nowadays. Again, I strongly urge you reconsider and try it a bit more…
Give the first few missions a go, kill some of the large monsters like a Great Jaggi or a Qurupeco.. The monsters get more challenging, and these two specifically are weak compared to what you’ll fight later on, but fighting one of those two would give you a taste of the game.
Also, there’s online co-op which is amazing. Getting 2-3 other people against a giant monster, just wailing on it and trying your hardest to stay alive… It’s an awesome feeling. It’s fun, challenging and totally worth your time. You may still not like it after you’ve given it a fair go, but at least give it that – a fair go – before you get rid of it.
It’s an amazing game and I’m saddened that somebody would think it’s bad based on the tutorial.
