Killing Without

How low to the ground can I cut English Ivy without killing it?
I bought a house with ALOT english ivy growing among the boxwood type shrubs lining one whole side of our property. They are starting to get out of control and choke the bushes. It would be easier if i can cut them about 6 inches from the ground instead of trying to untangle them and carefully cut each piece. Is this possible to do without killing them? Will it die without any foliage on it?
I think you could burn it up with napalm with an agent orange chaser and not kill English Ivy. Cut it back as far as you wish. It WILL come back.

It includes mothers, teachers, doctors, lawyers, small business owners, athletes and captains of industry. My book is designed to assist people in obtaining balance in life, while making our world a better place. The book also discusses what can happen with imbalance. Author: Gorman M. D., Chris P. The Killing Moon $11.99 With a brilliantly plotted new crime novel set in small-town Massachusetts, Chuck Hogan, prizewinning author of Prince of Thieves, delivers a page-turning, knockout thriller that demonstrates why he is the unrivaled master of gritty suspense. The crack of a handgun shatters the silence of a warm summer night…A notorious local felon and former child magician vanishes, seemingly without a trace…A corrupt police force applies a stranglehold to a failing town…An ailing old man hatches a last-ditch plan to save the police department he once headed, and the community he still loves…An outsider arrives, bearing a simple recipe for death that could destroy them all… Buried deep in the rural backcountry of New England, the town of Black Falls isn’t dying so much as quietly fading away. No supermarket. No traffic lights. No ATM. No hope. Donald Maddox, a man with no law enforcement background — indeed, no background at all — has returned to his hometown after fifteen years to find himself employed as an auxiliary patrolman on a local police force known to inspire more fear than trust in its citizenry. When a brutal murder shatters the isolation of this forgotten place, triggering the arrival of state police homicide detectives and a town-wide manhunt, both the local cops and Maddox appear to have something to hide. As the tightly wound mystery that is Maddox’s past begins to unravel, he becomes ensnared in a deadly conspiracy that ultimately threatens his life, as well as the lives of those nearest him. From its opening pages until its haunting final image, The Killing Moon displays the author’s trademark gift for soul-deep characterization, crisp pacing, and unflinching realism. This is Chuck Hogan’s richest, most satisfying thriller yet. |

The Killing Club $11.65 No one knows what was happening in Christian Hartwell’s life in the days before his corpse was found bruised and scarred at the foot of Fellbeck Crag in Yorkshire. These are the questions that DCI Ed Swift and his colleague DI Cat Fallon must determine before a major murder investigation is mounted… but finding convincing evidence is problematic. Ruth Hartwell, the victim’s adoptive mother, is unable to shed any light on her son’s final days, while her daughter Harriet has a strange tale from the past to tell Swift…but one without clear links to her brother’s death. Then Ruth receives a threatening visit from a man calling himself Mac the Knife and she and her family find themselves in real danger. Swift knows that it is vital for him to get to the truth- and fast. But in doing so, he risks not only his job but also his life… |

Killing Jodie $12.49 Daryl Suckling’s arrest in remote NSW in the late 1980s revealed his disturbing connections with the disappearance of Jodie Larcombe from Melbourne. Charged with the murder of Jodie, then a sex worker on St Kilda’s streets, Suckling was allowed to walk free, as police investigators struggled to prove a homicide without a body. He’d previously escaped conviction more than once after brutally abducting several women. Frustrated by legal obstacles and bad luck, one officer resigned from the force in disgust, but the case was never forgotten and investigators closed in as Suckling stalked his next victim. The grisly murder linked St Kilda with the lonely, windswept sandhills of the NSW outback near Mildura, and brought two hardened policemen close to a brave family pushed to breaking point – in the end, it was too much for Jodie’s mother, who committed suicide when Suckling appealed his eventual conviction. Suckling is now one of 15 prisoners serving life in NSW, never to be released. |

Killing Bridezilla $5.69 Jaine's accepted her share of lame gigs to pay the bills but rewriting Shakespeare's got to be an all-time low. The fiasco begins with a call from Jaine's high-school nemesis uber rich uber witch Patti Devane. It seems Patti will soon be sashaying down the aisle with another former classmate from Hermosa High and she'd like the exchange of vows to evoke Romeo and Juliet …except without the "downer" of an ending. Even worse than the assignment itself is dealing with Patti as a client. At least Jaine's not alone as nobody can stand the demanding spoiled and incredibly rude Bridezilla from Hell. So it isn't a complete surprise when the erstwhile Juliet plunges to her death during her balcony scene. The loosened bolts that brought down the bride were clearly an act of sabotage–what's not so obvious is whom among Patti's numerous haters committed this murder most foul… "Rollicking. . .Levine's slick wit and sure pacing make this another hit in this entertaining series." — Publishers Weekly |
